Our leather is purely vegetable tanned with a natural finish. Through the process of milling, the leather becomes very soft and the natural structure of the skin appears.   

Every leather hide is unique with slight imperfections and can include variations in colour, texture and markings, making each bag a one of a kind. Over time, the leather will evolve with daily use, it becomes softer and more supple and develops a unique patina.

To ensure the most even patina possible, we recommend polishing your Marai product with a natural leather balm and an undyed, smooth cotton cloth before using it for the first time. This will condition the leather evenly from the start and allow it to develop a particularly beautiful finish over time. No additional special products are needed for ongoing care.

If the product gets wet, it can be dried carefully with a hair dryer.
