What carries you? - A conversation with Vita

March brings gentle changes: warmer light, the first buds, a hint of new beginnings. At this time of year, we ask ourselves: What carries us through transitions? What gives us shape when we shed layers? What supports us as we realign ourselves?

In our new interview series, we want to explore exactly that—we want to get to know you better, our customers, the stories behind the small decisions and the moments that give us stability.

For Vita from Home & Fleur, it's not just the seasons that move her—it's the little details that make a big difference. We asked her five questions to find out: What inspires you?

Thank you, Vita, for your time. We would like to know: what does "What Carries You" mean to you in everyday life—what gives you stability when everything else is changing?

Vita: Actually, I love change, and change itself carries me. In fact, I always feel particularly inspired, full of energy, and fulfilled when a new season is approaching. It's easy for me to leave things behind and welcome new beginnings with an open heart—even when it comes to big changes in life, such as quitting a job, moving to a new home, or even changing countries. However, I must admit that I have found my perfect place in Ticino and wouldn't change anything about it. What I'm particularly looking forward to at the moment is the arrival of spring, which always feels like a little new life to me.

March is all about gentle changes and letting go of layers. Are there any routines, people, or decisions that help you through such transitions?

Vita: Every year in March, I reorganize my wardrobe and get rid of things that no longer serve me. I also plant new flowers in our little garden every March and take the time to bring it back to life. March is also my birthday month, and we have a family tradition: we go on a little trip, enjoy sunny days and the first blossoms.

If you could symbolically carry spring with you—be it a feeling, an item of clothing, or a value—what would it be and why?

Vita: For me, it would be observing the first signs of life in nature: daffodils blooming in gardens, birds chirping loudly, magnolia buds opening... all of this gives us the opportunity to start afresh and begin a new season with positive energy.

In everyday life, it's often the little things that sustain us or give structure to our moments—a ritual, an accessory, a favorite item. You have our Classic Belt in brown, and we'd like to know: What role does it play for you, how does it complement your outfits and your everyday life, and how does it make you feel when you wear it?

Vita: The belt is such a simple accessory, yet so essential. I wear it almost every day and just love the feeling of wearing a high-quality piece made of genuine leather.

A single accessory can change your silhouette and emphasize your posture. What moments or looks do you particularly love when you wear a belt?

Vita: My favorite go-to outfit is jeans with a shirt, where the belt emphasizes the waist and completes the look. I also love styling the belt over a long dress or an oversized shirt. Even a men's shirt can suddenly look completely different and very feminine and elegant.

Thank you, Vita, for sharing your thoughts and inspirations with us and giving us an insight into what sustains you in everyday life—from small rituals to special moments that give you strength.

Whether classic, playful with a dress, or relaxed for everyday wear, Vita shows how our leather belt effortlessly complements any look.
